Controller and contact

Kozak Interactive is the publisher of Abyssal Cycles and the controller for the processing described in this policy.

For privacy and data protection enquiries, contact kozak.interactive@gmail.com.

Data stored on your device

Abyssal Cycles is a single-player game. It does not require an account or sign-in. Your progress, chosen character name, equipment, story decisions and game settings are stored locally on your device. Your character name may be a nickname; you do not need to give your real name.

The game also stores local information needed to settle advertising rewards and limit ad frequency. It keeps a backup of the last save and may retain older copies when updating the save format to protect your progress.

We do not upload these saves or settings to our own servers. The game does not provide cloud progress synchronisation. We have not added a separate gameplay analytics or remote crash-reporting system; advertising-related processing is described below.

Advertising and technical data

The game uses Google AdMob for fullscreen and rewarded ads. Watching an ad in exchange for a reward is optional. Advertising data may also be processed during SDK initialisation and ad preparation, before an ad is displayed.

Google’s advertising integration may collect and transmit off your device:

These data are used for ad delivery and measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Processing also depends on your privacy choices, device and available ad modes. Non-personalised advertising does not mean that no technical data are processed. The game does not request GPS location, contacts, camera or microphone access for its features.

Google provides the advertising service. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services for information about its processing, relevant entities and partners. SDK data categories are described in Google’s GMA Next-Gen SDK disclosure.

Advertising privacy choices

We use Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage required advertising privacy choices. Where a form is required for your location and circumstances, the app presents it before permitting ad requests. Reading this policy or launching the game does not constitute consent to personalised advertising.

Where processing requires consent, you can give or refuse it in the form. You can later change your choice using the advertising privacy entry in game settings when UMP makes that option available. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing or by itself erase information already sent to the provider.

Your advertising choices do not delete your game progress. Ad availability and optional rewards may depend on these choices. You can also manage the advertising ID in Android settings. Google describes these controls in its information on advertising technologies.

Contacting the publisher

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer you and handle your enquiry. Do not send information that is unnecessary to explain your issue.

We handle correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering questions and resolving enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We fulfil legal duties concerning individual rights under the applicable laws (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)). Our email service provider may process this correspondence.

Retention and deletion

Local data remain on your device until deleted. To remove all app data, including saves, backups and settings, use Clear storage or the equivalent function in Android settings. This deletes your progress. Starting a new game does not remove every backup copy.

We keep correspondence for the time needed to resolve your enquiry. Where further retention is necessary for a legal duty or to establish or defend legal claims, we limit it to the data and period needed for that purpose.

Google’s Privacy Policy describes retention and deletion for data it processes. Clearing game data or uninstalling the game does not automatically erase data already sent to Google. We do not hold an individual copy of advertising data that we could delete from Google’s servers.

Security and data recipients

Local game files are stored in the app data area protected by the operating system. Save integrity checks and backups help recover progress; these safeguards do not encrypt the contents of the save.

Google states that user data transmitted by its advertising SDK are encrypted using TLS. Data processed by Google may be transferred to servers outside the European Economic Area. The Google documents linked above explain recipients and transfer safeguards.

Your rights

Where applicable under law, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

For enquiries about our processing, use the contact address at the beginning of this policy. Data held only in your local save are on your device and we cannot access them remotely. Requests concerning Google’s processing can also be directed through the contact tools in its Privacy Policy.

You can complain to the relevant supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office; see UODO.

Audience age

Abyssal Cycles is directed to teenagers and adults. It is not directed to children under 13. The intended audience does not replace the store’s content age rating.

Policy changes

We may update this policy when game features, providers or data processing change. The current version will display its date. Where a change requires new consent, updating this policy alone will not replace it.
